Want to learn an exciting career?
Want to learn about several different
areas in building industry?
If this is the case the Building & Property Service Program at
the Springfield Clark CTC is for you. Building and Property Service
is a program provided for individuals to acquire some hands-on learning
experiences in the building trades. Classroom and laboratory learning
experiences focus on skills necessary to keep the physical structure
of an office building, factory, apartment building, house or similar
structure in good repair. Included is instruction in the basics of carpentry,
electrical installation and repair, plumbing installation and repair,
drywall finishing, painting, and grounds keeping. Building and Property
Services is a two-year program. Students learn the basics of carpentry,
electricity, plumbing, grounds keeping, and job seeking skills in the
first year. The first year is dedicated to project based instruction
and on-site training. During the second year students will apply and
demonstrate knowledge and skills in a work-study program.
